When body builders are ‘cutting down’ for a competition they often use very strict diets yet will schedule in a ‘cheat day’ every 10 days or so. Rather than deprive yourself of foods and drinks you really crave it is often a good idea to schedule in days when you can really enjoy these foods in a controlled way. Strict adherence to an extreme diet with no breaks often results in people falling off the wagon and abandoning their plans completely.
